Rose Marie Roth

Rose Marie Roth, MSc., TS(ABB), CLT(NYS) joined RMA in 2007 as a Senior Embryologist and currently has over 20 years of experience in the field. In the same year, she achieved her Technical Supervisor certification from the American Board of Bioanalysts and subsequently served as Embryology Laboratory Supervisor from 2010-2019. In 2019, Rose Marie assumed the role of Assistant Laboratory Director at RMA of New York and Associate Laboratory Director at RMA of New York -Westchester.

In Manhattan, Rose Marie leads a team of 23 embryologists and embryology assistants through a regimented training program of stringent laboratory procedures and protocols and regular proficiency testing. Additionally, she worked on the design and operational planning of the RMA of New York - Westchester Embryology Laboratory which opened in late 2021.

Prior to joining RMA of New York, Rose Marie earned a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science specializing in Clinical Embryology and Andrology from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2005. She was a student in the first graduating class in the US for this specialized degree. She completed her undergraduate studies at Vassar College in Neuroscience in 2000, graduating with honors. She began the early years of her embryology training while working at the Center for Reproductive Medicine at Weill Cornell in NYC and at Abington Reproductive Medicine in PA between 2000-2006.

Rose Marie has a strong interest in improving oocyte vitrification and warming techniques to increase thaw survival and embryo development. She enjoys introducing innovations in laboratory equipment and embryology techniques in an effort to increase efficiency, workflow, and Feng Shui in the lab. She is a member of ABB and ASRM, and has over 20 published manuscripts and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals.
