Martha Luna, MD
Dr. Martha Luna is a board certified reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist and a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist. She joined RMA of New York in 2005 and is currently Co-Director of RMA New York International located in Mexico City. Dr. Luna is a clinical professor of the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program at the American British Cowdray (ABC) Hospital in Mexico City. She specializes in diagnosing and treating reproductive issues and her areas of expertise include endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, diminished ovarian reserve, recurrent pregnancy loss, in vitro fertilization and preimplantation genetic diagnosis. Her surgical expertise includes minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopy and hysteroscopy to treat a variety of surgical conditions associated with infertility, such as uterine fibroids, endometriosis, congenital and acquired uterine anomalies, among many others.
Dr. Martha Luna completed her sub-specialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and has a Masters Degree in Clinical Embryology and Andrology from the Eastern Virginia Medical School and the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine, which are highly recognized in the field of reproductive science.
Before completing her sub-specialty, Dr. Luna was chief resident and graduated with honors of excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the Technology Institute of Superior Studies in Monterrey (ITESM). She was also awarded for Research Excellence in the reproductive field during her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the Hospital San José-ITESM in Monterrey. Dr. Luna graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Guadalajara, where she received her medical degree.
Dr. Luna is the principal investigator for multiple studies and has published numerous articles on reproduction in international scientific medical journals. She has presented research at national and international scientific conferences. She has been invited to speak nationally and internationally on various infertility-related topics. She serves as a member of the Board Directory of the Mexican Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Professor Examiner for the Mexican Board of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She serves on the editorial board of The Mexican Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Luna is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) as well as the Mexican Association for Reproductive Medicine (AMMR) and The Mexican College of Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology (COMEGO). She is certified as a Gynecologist and Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist by the Mexican College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
