Holistic Wellness and Fertility

June 5, 2019, 06:30 PM - 08:30 PM

Yinova Brooklyn Heights: 147 Remsen Street Brooklyn, NY 11201

Join RMA of New York and Yinova at Yinova’s Brooklyn Heights location for a lively and informative discussion with Dr. Sekhon and Dr. Jill Blakeway where they will share their advice on how you can support yourself naturally while going through various fertility treatments. From acupuncture to massage; practicing meditation to harnessing your body’s own self-healing mechanisms.

Dr. Lucky Sekhon is board certified in the subspecialty of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility as well as Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Sekhon is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and is particularly passionate about her research. She has authored numerous articles and scientific abstracts on personalized medicine, genetics, and embryonic gene expression networks. Dr. Sekhon specializes in diagnosing and treating reproductive issues and has expertise in fertility preservation, LGBTQ family building, and in vitro fertilization with preimplantation genetic testing of embryos.

Dr. Blakeway is an acupuncturist, herbalist, and the founder of the Yinova Center, where she has been treating patients for over 2 decades. She is also the author of three books on health and healing; Making Babies: A Proven 3-Month Program for Maximum Fertility, Sex Again: Recharging your Libido, and Energy Medicine: The Science and Mystery of Healing.

Her latest book, Energy Medicine, bridges the gap between science and spirituality and offers a persuasive, evidence-based case that advances this ancient healing practice. Jill will be sharing some of the book’s revelations about how energy healing works and how to harness your own healing abilities. In particular, she will demystify the ancient art of acupuncture, including an explanation of what the acupuncture points are (hint; they have their roots in embryology) and the ways the body’s tissues conduct electrical energy.
